Mom

To my 4 pm check in calls.

My 9 pm “Am I cooking this right” text.

My before going out, “Does this outfit look right?” message.

My “Ok, so I have a new symptom” call.

My reminder to breathe and count to 10 because this too..shall pass.

My always scolding me about not making Doctor appointments via calls, texts, e-mails, Facebook messages, airplane banners, pigeon posts…(OK MOM, I WILL MAKE MY FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENTS! Geesh.)

My Face-time when I’m sad and crying because I just can’t for the moment…sometimes the day…or, the week.

My “Let me e-mail you this paperwork and you tell me if it’s right”.

My “How do I iron this correctly?” call.

My anytime I’m at work and I call to say “Can you talk real quick because…”

My “Can you cash app me…” (Haha … No, really, can you? lol).

My “Ok, listen to this..” at anytime of the day (No, literally…all the time lol).

My Cheerleader.

My Coach.

My front row fan.

The first to read a post.

The first to buy a ticket to my shows.

My Constructive Critic.

My Best Friend.

And my constant reminder of WHO I AM….especially when Multiple Sclerosis tries to make me forget.

You are so much, and more. Saying that I love you, is an understatement. Thank you for always walking alongside me, thank you for always being behind me, thank you for always leading by being a walking example.

Thank you…for always.

The older I get, the more I’m starting to resemble you, mom. More than the physical, I am starting to resemble your spirit, and all that you have instilled in me – reflects your beauty, resiliency, and essence.

To my mom, I celebrate you today, and all days. I’m everything I am…because you love me.

Thank you.

“I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,” – Philippians 1:3
