Today, I want to talk encouragement. This has been a pretty tough week for me….and what I realized all the more this week is the importance of standing on God’s word. The message is typically for messenger first, and as our brother David said…we must encourage ourselves!

So, grab your coffee, or tea and let me encourage you my friends….because..let’s be honest, I need this too.

Contrary to how you may be feeling, God is all about cleaning, building you back up and moving you forward. Let Him. The pain you may be feeling isn’t decay, it’s recovery…necessary for your development. What I have come to terms with is even the very things we believed caused us to die? The things we have lost, the anger we may feel – are still apart of God’s plan. And what God promises us are forevermore yea and amen.

I want to remind you to get with how much God is for you. We (I’m guilty as well) spend so much time thinking about the bad but in reality we are to be glad for bad times, for the Bible says in James 1:2-4: “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”

NO RAIN, NO FLOWERS.

Don’t ask “Why Me” change your conversation with our Lord to…”What is this to teach me?” and key word above? Conversation! Talk to God, Pray His word, Read His word. He draws near to the brokenhearted and the Bible states that where His Spirit is…there is Liberty, and in His presence is the fullness of joy. Wow. That very thought brings me such relief….with Him comes freedom, joy…and peace.

Why then must we run to other things, when God is waiting..arms wide open carrying everything we need.

It’s tough, life can get MSey….but, no weapon formed against you shall prosper. Although they form? They.Will.Not.Win.

With this coming week, I urge you to pray…I urge you to believe that God is making you better…don’t get bitter. Let His word remain a lamp unto your feet..and light unto your path.

Depression is real, but God is greater than any bondage you may be experiencing.

…but God.
